New Release: Hushabye Baby Felling Axe It’s a big day at Best Made! We launched the last axe of 2011: The Hushabye Baby Felling Axe. And in keeping with the holiday spirit we’re thrilled to announce a limited edition release of our hand-knit Alpaca wool Hushabye Baby Axe. For the last 17 years the manufacturer of this lil’ chopper has been working closely with a cooperative of indigenous women of Aymara descent in Bolivia where they have been instrumental in creating health insurance plans, dental plans, day care, exercise programs, and micro loans for their craftswomen. Each item is knit by hand so the women are able to work at home while tending to their families. We can’t think of a more worthy cause, and are thrilled that each purchase of this hand-knit axe will help make these women’s lives better.
